Fleet Falcons Junior Badminton Club was formed on October 29th 1972 by the late Beryl Warnes and John Parker. After an overwhelming response from an advert in the local paper two more coaches were needed, so Tony Prior and Andrew Tutty joined.

It wasn’t long before we had our first county player in Ann Cosser and then not long after two of our players Natalie Rope and Julian Prior gained places in the England squad. From these small beginnings, Fleet Falcons has grown and has provided Hampshire County Badminton with numerous players and also the England Squad from junior to senior players.

This is all down to the dedication people have put in over the years, people like Beryl Warnes, John Parker, Babs Canon, Tony Prior, Tony Bourgoing, Jean Hawkins, Pat Tighe, Pat Coupland, Derek Ede, Alf Webster, Frances Thariyan, Gloria and Bob Roope and Steve Darlington and many more. If it wasn’t for these people there would be no Fleet Falcons. Many players who were junior members have come back and coached at the club.

We cater for all levels of player, from kids who want to advance and improve, to others who just want to have fun and play. All of our coaches are volunteers and are passionate about the game and keen to pass on their knowledge.
